a brief description of the building

client: hôtel le club de cavalière sa, le lavandou, france
redesigned surfaces: 800 m2

situation

the hôtel le club de cavalière, a 5***** establishment, hadn’t secured accesses. between two summer seasons, the accesses of the closed hotel, had to be secured with provisory gates every year. when the hotel was active The open parking on site had no security for the cars during night. At the same time the way in and out from site always had a big risk of road accident.
the requirements to m+p based on creating automatic gates, renewing the border walls including integrating planting possibilities on, renewing all floor coverings until the hotel building entrance and a few other conceptual and technical improving.

solution

m+p tried to respect all client’s requirements with his project, but also to resolve the traffic risks caused by the access to get finally a global solution.
the exterior entrance is realized as central element made of white marble. This element allows planting on different stepped levels. In the centre of it a cypress is placed. Beside the function of it as a fix point for the sliding gates, a little gate for people traffic has been integrated. On both sides of the gates new walls made of local stones are created, crowned by planting boxes made of white marble. The same marble is already present on site.
the floor coverings are finished in red asphalt, partially in red pavements.
as buffer areas are created at the entrance and exit from site, the traffic is becoming safer.
further smaller improving concerning concept adaptations, functionality and comfort have been integrated.
