has been working with great passion as an architect since 1954. between 1959 and 1964 he attracted a lot of attention as an co-worker of an architecture firm in southern france while working on a housing development on the côte d’azur. by applying methods widely used in “earth architecture” he merged the hundreds of housing units perfectly without causing any visible changes to the landscape. it was also during this time that he designed entire holiday colonies in iran, sardinia and france, complete with the necessary infrastructure such as ports and airports. in 1984 he founded his own architectural practice which was expanded in 1989 in collaboration with his son to become mühlemann + partner architects and planners gmbh.
hanspeter mühlemann is fluent speaking in german and french.
